People generally have problem with their smartphone. Some complain of lagging, some of hanging, and some of less battery backup. Rather many options of smartphones are available which offer larger battery backup and fast charging. But if you ignore the method of charging your smartphone, then it can result to damage of battery.

  • Some people don't connect their smartphone for charging until it gets reduced to 5% or less. It affects the battery life. Always try to charge the battery before it touches 20%.
  • You shouldn't completely charge battery to 100%, this fact has been also accepted by Google. Google says that you should unplug charger before it reaches 90%. For better performance charge battery between 40% to 80%.
  • Do charge your phone at a place where it is too hot. It can affect your battery performance. According to a report, battery looses it 6% of efficiency when it is charged in temperature more than 32°C.
  • Mostly users connects and then quickly disconnects the charger, it also affects the battery. Every battery has a cycle, some have cycle of 700 and some of 1000. You can also consider it as battery life. If you connect and then disconnects, then it is counted as 1 cycle. So don't connect and then disconnect you phone from charging frequently. 
  • Might be you would have heard from some people that you should let the battery to discharge completely once in a week or in a month, but this is wrong. If Li-ion battery gets discharged completely the it looses it's efficiency. So make sure that it shouldn't get discharged completely.
  • For battery security it's necessary to restart your phone once in a week or in a month.
  • Try to charge your phone with the charger provided from the phone company. A lot of chargers of local brand are available in the market. But local chargers can harm your phone. So if you buy a charger from market, so try to buy the charger of the same brand of which you have your phone.
