Android P
Hi Guys! Today in this post I am going to tell you about a newer version of Android which is under Beta Testing. It's stable version will be available in few days for eligible devices.
Yes Guys, I am going to tell you about Android P and will discuss about it's features. Guys after Android Marshmallow, we didn't found any major change in UI of Android Nougat & Oreo, rather they brought some new features which we commonly doesn't use. Now let's see, what Android P is going to bring.
Below listed features are seen in Beta Version, so if they worked well, then we would be seeing them in Stable Version.
Expected Features
- Gesture Based Navigation:- Guys a perfect use of gesture navigation can be seen in Moto G5 S/S+ which was running on Android Naugat out of the box. Now we will be able to use this feature in every smartphone which will be going to run on Android P. The overall function will be same but will be done using a home button, ulike fingerprint sensor in Moto. User can access Recent Apps, Quick Setting, Task Manager, etc using this gesture feature.
- Auto Rotate Display:- In this version, auto rotate display has been improved. This feature will pop up every time for permission before rotating. It will also restrict the apps from getting rotated which can support Portrait Mode. It will also restrict sudden auto rotation of screen.
- Adaptive Brightness & Battery:- In Android P, Machine Learning Technology is used to provide better brightness adjustment compared to the previous versions of Android. This Machine Learning Technology will observe the setting of brightness in different conditions by user and will later optimise accordingly. Battery Optimisation is also made is smarter in this version.
- Smart Volume Function:- Pre-set icons are available in volume interface for vibration, full ring, silent etc. It will be useful, like:- while watching any video you don't want to hear its sound, then with a single click you can disable it.
- Android Dashboard and App Timer:- Spending a lot of time on a Smartphone is not good for our health as well as for smartphone. Now Android Dashboard will take care our health. Like:- you are spending more time on YouTube, then this Android Dashboard will start suggesting you to switch off the App and have a break. While App Timer will help user to restrict themselves from using smartphone for longer time.
- Slush Gesture:- Turn over your phone to automatically enter Do Not Disturb mode.
- Wind Down Mode:- Tell Google Assistant when you want to go to bed, and when that time draws near it will turn on Do Not Disturb and switch the screen to greyscale mode.
